The Audible app, which belongs to the Amazon group, is probably the best-known audiobook app.
Here the listener can choose from over 200,000 tracks. Almost all works published as audiobooks are available.

For a monthly fee of €9.95, there is 1 value credit that can be exchanged for audiobooks.
Almost all new releases cost this price and are therefore significantly below the price that other providers charge for a single purchase.
For example, as a direct single download or as a purchase of a physical CD.
But be careful: the audiobooks purchased from Audible can only be used as long as the subscription is valid. An export is not possible.
Just like Spotify, Audible is a closed ecosystem to keep the user as long as possible.
This is not a problem for me as a regular customer because I use the service for a longer period and as long as I have unlimited access to the files. In any case, I only hear a few outstanding audiobooks that I buy separately in an emergency. However, collectors should rather think about other variants.
Bookbeat: Worthwhile for passionate long-term listeners
Bookbeat is a good alternative for dedicated audiobook fans, for whom 1 book per month is not enough. Instead of selected titles, the listening hours are relevant for billing.
